FOR TAXPAYERS

In order to ensure complete preparedness for GST implementation from 1st of July 2017, CBEC has launched this portal for disseminating information about GST awareness events organised by CBEC. This portal can be used to view information regarding GST awareness events such as training workshops, seminars, town hall meetings, Trade interactions etc. The calendar for such events can be viewed by taxpayers and other stakeholders and they can plan their participation accordingly. Once such events have been conducted, the relevant material such as documents and photographs can be uploaded by authorised officers in the concerned CBEC field formation.
The home page of the portal displays the following information:
a) The top pane shows number of past events in each Region (North, South, East, West, Central). Further details can be obtained by clicking the "View Details" link
b) GST Events News/ Photos: This section contains the 10 most recent photos uploaded by Departmental Officials
c) GST Events Calendar: This is a calendar for upcoming events in the Month. Upcoming events are indicated in Orange. Further details of such upcoming events can be obtained by clicking on the event highlighted in Orange. Additionally, the Month can be changed to an earlier month or upcoming month by clicking the "<" or ">" links above the calender
d) GST Upcoming events: This is a list of planned events related to GST Awareness that are coming up in the future
e) GST Events Statistics: This is a Pie-chart of the past events Region wise. Further details can be obtained by clicking each section of the Pie

The left section of the Portal contains the following links:
a) Dashboard: This is a link to the Home page of the Portal
b) View Photos/ Documents: This page contains the list of past events for which details (including attachments) were uploaded by the Officials. These events can be filtered by Region. Further, a Search Box is available which does a search based on the text entered into the Box.
c) Upcoming Events: This page contains the list of planned events related to GST Awareness that are coming up in the future. These events can be filtered by Region. Further, a Search Box is available which does a search based on the text entered into the Box.
d) Past Events: This page contains the list of past were uploaded by the Officials. These events can be filtered by Region. Further, a Search Box is available which does a search based on the text entered into the Box.
e) FAQ: This page contains the list of Frequently asked questions
f) Contact Us: This section contains the Helpdesk contact in case any issues are faced.
The left pane also contains a "Sign In" Button. This should be used by the Department officials to log in and upload information about upcoming events and past events.

FOR DEPARTMENTAL OFFICERS

This portal can be used by CBEC departmental officers to upload information regarding GST awareness events such as training workshops, seminars, town hall meetings, Trade interactions etc. The calendar for such events can be viewed by taxpayers and other stakeholders and they can plan their participation accordingly. Once such events have been conducted, the relevant material such as documents and photographs can be uploaded by authorised officers in the concerned CBEC field formation.

The home page of the portal displays the following information:
a) The top pane shows number of past events in each Region (North, South, East, West, Central). CBEC formations have been categorised into regions for ease of viewing and to keep the tabs clutter-free. The Region-to-Formation mapping, done for the purposes of this portal only, can be viewed by clicking on the tab "GST Region mapping" in this portal
. b) GST Events News/ Photos: This section contains the 10 most recent photos uploaded by Departmental Officials
c) GST Events Calendar: This is a calendar for upcoming events in the Month. Upcoming events are indicated in Orange. Further details of such upcoming events can be obtained by clicking on the event highlighted in Orange. Additionally, the Month can be changed to an earlier month or upcoming month by clicking the "<" or ">" links above the calender

New events can be added only by authorized Department officials. The authorized official needs to log-in using the "Sign In" Button on the Bottom left section of the Portal Home page. ICEGATE email ID and email password needs to be used for logging in. Once, you have successfully logged in then the requisite details need to be filled. Photos/ PDF documents can be attached for the event also.
Artefacts for past events can be added only by authorized Department officials. The official needs to log-in using the "Sign In" Button on the Bottom left section of the Portal Home page. ICEGATE email ID and email password needs to be used for logging in. Once, you have successfully logged in then then click on the "Upload Photos/Documents" on the left section. Photos/ PDF documents can be attached for the event also.
Only .JPEG files and .PDF files can be uploaded as attachments. The responsibility of selecting appropriate photos and labelling them correctly lies with the uploading formation. Due care is to be taken while uploading content, as it will be viewable by the general public. The responsibility of accuracy, authenticity, appropriateness and ensuring that no copyrights are violated by uploaded content lies squarely with the uploading formation.
A maximum of 5 (five) artefacts can be uploaded for any event
The size of an artefact should not exceed 1 MB.
Please drop an email to saksham.seva@icegate.gov.in providing the corrected mapping. Changes in the mapping will be done after due verification.
Event information can be edited only by Department officials. The official needs to log-in using the "Sign In" Button on the Bottom left section of the Portal Home page. ICEGATE email ID and email password needs to be used for logging in. For now, if any mistake occurs while uploading the material, please delete the entire event information/details entered and re-initiate the workshop. For doing this, navigate to the "View Photos/ Documents" tab then identify the event and delete the same. In case for any reason if there is an issue is faced, an email can be dropped to Saksham Seva at saksham.seva@icegate.gov.in
It may take upto 10-15 minutes for the uploaded material to become viewable. If the document is not viewable even after 30 minutes of a successful upload message, please drop an email to saksham.seva@icegate.gov.in providing a screenshot of the successful upload message along with the icegate ID from which the information was uploaded, for rectification of the same.
